Expect to see roman food being #imade ... excited to try quince stuffed with beef and pignoli stewed in honey wine with pepper cumin and mint! #summerreads #cookbooks #foodoftheancients #romanfood also enjoying reading about the birth of the oval dish, the dinner gong ... then my next favorite part #foodstorage .. to store grapes for e.g. seal in a barrel with rain water boiled down to a third , then seal with plaster. The grapes stay for upto a month ! The water cures fever and cold !!! #whodathunkit #lifewithoutarefridgerator 😱
